Yeja Dunn | HR & Operations Manager

 

Yeja manages Growald Climate Fund’s human resources and internal operations, ensuring staff have the resources they need to thrive. Keeping an eye on all aspects of the staff experience, they move in between people and systems management. 

Before GCF, Yeja was a senior people operations generalist at Own Up, a fintech start-up in Boston, focused on eliminating information asymmetry between mortgage borrowers and financial institutions. Prior to Own Up, they directed operations and community development for Steve & Kate’s Camp in Cambridge, MA, increasing daily attendance from 70 to 200 campers a day. They started their career as a teaching apprentice at The Park School in Brookline, MA working in second, seventh, and eighth-grade social studies. 

Yeja has a bachelor’s degree in women, gender and sexualities, and sociology from Dartmouth College, where they served as captain of the rugby team. A member of the USA Rugby national team player pool, they continue to play competitive rugby for Beantown Rugby Football Club and sit on a working group to professionalize the Women’s Premier League. Yeja is also an avid climber and cyclist. Yeja is passionate about topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and as a nonbinary athlete and Athlete Ally Ambassador, they seek ways to make sports more inclusive and welcoming for nonbinary and trans athletes.
